LifeLink PSU was founded in the 2002-2003 academic school year. Currently, we have hundreds of Penn State Student Mentors, yearly Interns, and four full-time learning support staff that work with our students in the classroom located in the Boucke Building (Room 209).
Our program is designed to help our students accomplish five goals on their road to independence:
- Academic Skills
- Enrichment
- Vocational
- Social
- Leisure/Recreation
With classroom activities, a variety of PSU classes, and Penn State volunteers, we help to transition students to life beyond college. We aim to create a open minded, academic, and social environment for increased behavioral and cognitive development for students that is on a college level. Through making an inviting and friendly environment it allows students to experience a smooth transition out of high school while also making potential lifelong friends and connections.

Our Mission
Our mission is to serve special education students, engage them in academic programs, and help them gain independence. We partner with Penn State students to help these individuals from the State College Area School District Department of Special Education.
